What Is CLIO and Where Will It Be Located?

CLIO is a massive desert installation that will cover an area of over one million square metres of land in the VGPX+66 Margham Dubai location, Skydive Dubai Desert Campus. The project itself is geared towards a combination of narration, city culture and modern art with the goal of drawing the attention of millions of tourists across the globe.

This artwork in Dubai is conceived as more than a visual experience. It will encourage the audience to experience the installation by walking through it, touch its components and to relate to the art and to the desert itself.

Vision Behind the World-Scale Installation

This is an international contemporary art project the brainchild of Agron Hoti who is an international contemporary artist and has created large scale works which combine the physical space and narrative, as well as emotion. CLIO will be made of 25,000 authenticated modules that are each 2m x 2m and will be spaced out to create a continuous artistic experience through the desert.

Digital communication and video content will also be a part of the installation, so that the experience could evolve through time and be engaging to the repeat visitors. This solution makes CLIO a progressive cultural reference point, as opposed to being an inert exhibition.

Clio House: The Cultural Heart of the Project

The core of the installation will be Clio House, which will be a very impressive architectural construction, and will be used all year round. This will act as a center of exhibitions, talks, artist residencies, and creative partnerships.

Partnership will also be one of the key elements in Clio House with luxury, design, and technology industries represented, which will be a center of cultural exchange and innovation. As Dubai continues to position itself as a global arts destination, this development plays a key role in shaping Artwork in Dubai 2026 and beyond.

An Immersive Visitor Experience in the Desert

The CLIO Desert Park is going to be a completely engaging experience. Off-road buggy art safaris where visitors will be able to follow the entire line of the installation on desert terrain will be among the most unusual characteristics.

This rhythmic style of doing art also makes the art not merely seen but to be felt moving around, with a different viewpoint and exploration. The visitors will interact with the installation in such a manner that they enjoy the adventure, innovativeness, and daring thoughts of Dubai.

Development and Strategic Partnerships

The project will be built on the land of Shamal Holding, a diversified investment company located in Dubai and the owner of the desert location. Shamal views CLIO as an ideal fit in the Skydive Dubai Desert Campus, a place where there is power, movement, and size.

Mohammad Javad, the Executive Vice President of Leisure and Entertainment in Shamal states that the project establishes a strong communication between sporting activities and creativity which will transform the desert to become a dynamic cultural environment.

Timeline and Long-Term Impact

Although the buzz is going on, CLIO is a long term vision. It is projected that CLIO Oasis will open in 2027 but the entire project will be complete in 2033. Once finished, the installation will stand as a massive Dubai Artwork that reshapes how art, space, and human interaction coexist.

CLIO is a symbol of Dubai that is not going to stop at the boundary when it comes to breaking the limits of creativity and providing residents and visitors with the unforgettable experience of the cultural background with the eternal backdrop of the desert.
