Sharjah Executive Council announced to waive all 10-year-old outstanding traffic fines with a fee.
Any fines incurred on traffic violations that happened more than 10 years ago can be cancelled, a ruling by Sharjah Ruler’s Office announced.
The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) meeting on Tuesday said outstanding fines can be waived for a fee of 1,000 dirhams.
However, certain cases are exempted from this fee:
- Verified death of the vehicle owner.
- The vehicle owner left the country, or is untraceable
- Abandoned vehicles, where the owner cannot be reached.
